Chelsea could take advantage of FIFA’s extra window for clubs travelling to the Club World Cup to sign Liam Delap and Dean Houten.

FIFA have approved an additional transfer window from June 1 to 10, allowing clubs competing in the Club World Cup to sign new players before the tournament kicks off on June 15.

Sources say Chelsea are planning to make the most of the summer transfer window, with Ipswich striker Delap, who has a £30m release clause, and Bournemouth defender Houten, who has a £50m buy clause, the two main targets. Should Chelsea sign the

pair in early June, it could have a direct impact on England and Spain, who are both in the European Under-21 Championships this summer. โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที Both are regulars for their national teams,

and the Blues could decide to include them in their squads for the Club World Cup, which overlaps at the same time.

However, a deal for Delap could also see Manchester United interested. And should he move to Old Trafford rather than Stamford Bridge, he would be eligible to play for England at the Under-21 Euros,

while competition for Haugesson remains fierce, with Liverpool and Arsenal also interested, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Chelsea and City are expected to discuss the possibility of releasing their young stars from their respective countries in due course.

The source said a player’s readiness to play for his country would depend on each club’s decision to release him.
